how to request a repeat prescription

We operate a repeat prescription system for patients on regular medication. You will be given a computer - generated slip attached to your prescription that should be kept safely.
Repeat prescriptions may then be requested either by:

• Posting the slip to us, indicating by ticking which of the prescription you require
   
• Bringing it to the surgery
   
• Online with SystmOnline CLICK HERE
  (If you are a new user you will need to contact the surgery and ask for login details before you can order repeat prescriptions online.)  ONLINE SERVICES TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE

Prescriptions may be collected 48 hrs later or 4 days over a weekend. If you prefer to enclose a SAE we will post you prescription to you.

Some of the pharmacist in town offer a collection service so if you want to take advantage of this service please indicate on your request which chemist you would like your prescription to be sent.

We regret that we are unable to accept telephone requests for repeat prescriptions. This is for security and safety purposes.
 

ANTIBIOTIC PRESCRIBING

As part of good clinical practice we only prescribe antibiotics when appropriate to do so. Many cases of, for example, sore throats, earache and coughs are caused by viruses and do not respond to antibiotics. These conditions will resolve with time and the use of symptomatic treatment. We are always happy to review you if the symptoms persist.
