Dr Oluwatoyin Ogunsanya MBBS, MRCOG, LLB(honours)
Dr Ogunsanya joined the practice in 1995. He graduated from The University of Ibadan, Nigeria in 1980 and completed his postgraduate training in the UK. He trained in Obstetrics and Gynaecology before entering General Practice. Within the practice he manages the financial and legal aspects. He also holds a law degree and works as a Solicitor Advocate with an interest in clinical negligence and regulatory law.

 

Dr Atef Wissa MBBCh, DGO (Senior Partner)
Dr Wissa joined the practice in 1995. He graduated from The University of Ain-Shams, Cairo in 1976 and completed postgraduate training in the UK. He also trained in Obstetrics and Gynaecology before entering General Practice. He has a special interest in minor surgery and cosmetic skin surgery. Within the practice he does the auditing of all aspects of clinical care.

 

Dr Shirin Chakera MBBCh, DRCOG, DPD
Dr Chakera joined the practice in 2003. She graduated from the University of Wales College of Medicine, Cardiff in 1985. She has a special interest in dermatology and diabetes and also works in the dermatology clinic at Basildon Hospital.

 

Dr Shoab Ibrahim BSc, MBBS, DFFP, DRCOG
Dr Ibrahim joined the practice in 2003. He graduated from Bahauddin Zakariya University, Pakistan in 1988 and completed postgraduate training in the UK. He has a special interest in care of the elderly.

 

Dr Adegboyega Tayo MBBS, MRCOphth, FRCS(Ophth), DRCOG, MRCGP
Dr Tayo joined the practice in 2003. He graduated from The University of Ibadan, Nigeria in 1985 and completed postgraduate training in the UK. As well as training in General Practice he has gained a very high qualification in Ophthalmology and also works as an Associate Specialist in Ophthalmology at Southend Hospital. In addition to his work as a GP in the practice he also works as a GPwSI (GP with special interest) for the South West Essex PCT.

 

Dr Margaret Odufuye MBBCh, DFFP, MRCGP
Dr Odufuye joined the practice in 2006.  She graduated from The University of Calabar, Nigeria in 1987 and completed postgraduate training in the UK. She performs the Child Health Surveillance Clinics at the practice and also has a special interest in family planning and diabetes.

 

Dr Louisa Boateng-Gaisie MBBCh, DFFP, MRCGP
Dr Boateng-Gaisie joined the practice in 2009. She graduated from The University of Science and Technology, Ghana in 1998 and completed postgraduate training in the UK.  She has a range of experience in various hospital specialties and has a specialist interest in family planning including implanon insertion.

 

Dr Dinesh De Silva MBBS, MRCGP
Dr De Silva joined the practice in 2009.  He graduated from Imperial College London in 2002 and has worked in a number of hospital specialties for several years including Anaesthesia, Intensive Care Medicine and Emergency Medicine prior to entering General Practice. He has an interest in medical education and is involved with teaching medical students at the practice.
